Baldwinsville

Community Info

Baldwinsville is an example of a community that anyone would want to live in. Small town America is alive and well in Baldwinsville

The Erie Canal crosses right through the village, allowing visitors to this bedroom community to capture and enjoy that small-town experience. Baldwinsville provides boaters traveling on the Erie Canal one of the better opportunities on this section of the Canal. Located at mile # 172, The South Shore West Park offers plenty of docking with electric, water, restrooms all on the south wall of the canal just west of Lock 24. There are a variety of restaurants and services within proximity to the Canal.

On Tuesday evenings during the summer months enjoy concerts sponsored by the Baldwinsville Concert series partnership held on papermill island home to the Budweiser Amphitheatre. The amphitheatre also attracts local, regional and national acts on weekends during the season

Several community festivals are held each year. The Baldwinsville Oktoberfest, a festival that celebrates the village and surrounding community is held each September to raise funds for a variety of not for profit causes within the Baldwinsville Community. The Rotary Club organizes the Seneca River Days festival which occurs each year in June. It features an anything that floats race, which encourages entrants to build a floating vessel without spending more than a set amount of money (currently $50)

No visit to Baldwinsville is complete without a visit to the Shacksboro Schoolhouse Museum
